The mission
Artyx is a fast, custom-made 20-metre aluminium explorer, designed in collaboration with National Geographic for Arctic exploration. Every choice follows the mission: a robust aluminium hull for cold, ice-strewn waters, the speed to reach remote sites, and a layout that works as a floating base for expedition teams.
Exterior
High-visibility yellow against grey ice and sea: the livery is a safety feature as much as an identity. A sharp, high bow meets cold chop while the open aft deck keeps equipment close at hand.
Seen from above
In plan the hull reads as a single, arrow-like gesture: an open observation deck on the bow, a wheelhouse with panoramic glazing at its centre, and a working aft deck with a crane locker above the engine room.
Interior
Inside, warm timber and dark technical surfaces balance comfort and function. The main deck joins wheelhouse, galley and dinette in one bright space; below, guest cabins and an equipment store lead forward to an interior observation lounge in the bow, glazed towards the ice.
